As part of the new High Performance System Badminton Australia is seeking nominations for players to be part of the 2022 National Senior Falcons Program and 2022 National Falcons Development (Junior) Program. All players part of the current program must re-nominate.
Players must be part of the National Programs to be considered for selection to Australian Teams (The Falcons). Up to 25 players can be selected for the 2022 Senior Falcons Program and players must be aged at least 16 years of age. Up to 35 players can be selected to the National Falcons Development Program and players must be aged between 14 and 21 years of age.
Nominations using this form can be received by close of business on Friday the 3rd December, 2021 https://form.jotform.com/213147843793867
Players nominating for the Senior Falcons Program must be available for the following dates if selected:
- January Competition Selection Camp (25-29 January 2022)
- Oceania Individuals and VICTOR Oceania Men’s & Women’s Team Championships 2022 (14-20 February or 22-30 April 2022)
- Australian National Senior Championships and Camp (9-21 April 2022)
- Thomas / Uber Cup if Australia qualifies and selected (8-15 May 2022)
- Possible other preparation camps and international competition (May/June 2022)
- Pre-Commonwealth Games Camp if selected (June/July 2022)
- Commonwealth Games if selected (28 July to 8 August 2022)
Players nomination for the Development (Junior) Falcons Program must be available for the following dates if selected:
- January Competition Selection Camp (25-29 January 2022)
- Oceania U19 Teams (if selected) & Individuals (14-20 February or 22-30 April 2022)
- Australian National Senior Championships and Camp where conducted (9-21 April 2022)
- National Development Camp & National U19/U15 Championships (July)
- National Development Camp & National U17 Championships (September)
- World Junior Championships where selected, Year 12 exemptions apply (Sat 29 October to Sunday 20 November, 2022)
