Australian Badminton Falcon Kaitlyn Ea has been awarded a Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship (SAHOF), alongside 15 other recipients named today.
Ea, who hails from Victoria and recently competed at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, was named a recipient of a Tier 3 SAHOF Scholarship.
The Tier 3 scholarship group covers 16 different sports, with each athlete receiving a grant of $2500, plus support from the SAHOF and it esteemed member base over the enxt 15 months.
“It is an honour to be a SAHOF Scholarship holder alongside so many inspirational and successful athletes from all different sports,” said Ea.
“I can’t thank SAHOF enough for the opportunity and support that will inevitably play an important role in my future.”
“We are delighted to hear Kaitlyn is to receive a 2023 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship,” said Badminton Australia CEO Jamie Parsons.
“She has worked very hard to become one of Australia’s top young players and did an outstanding job at the recent Commonwealth Games.”
