National Para Head Coach

Badminton Australia is seeking an outstanding coach to lead the development, performance and progression of athletes and coaches within the Australian Para Badminton system.

Reporting to the National Para Performance Manager, the National Para Head Coach will provide leadership across the national Para pathway, working closely with athletes, personal coaches, performance support staff and key stakeholders to deliver sustained international success and progress Australia’s Paralympic ambitions.

This role is responsible for leading coaching and athlete support for nationally selected Para athletes, delivering national camps and training environments, supporting talent identification and development initiatives, and contributing to coach education and mentoring programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the quality and sustainability of Para badminton across Australia.

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative coach with experience operating in high-performance environments, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for athlete development. Experience coaching Para athletes is desirable but not essential.

This is a permanent, 4 days per week, position based in Melbourne (other locations will be considered for the right candidate). Extensive domestic and international travel will be required. BA will support the suitable candidate to obtain additional coaching hours to make this position full time if desired.

TEAM PSYCHOLOGIST / MENTAL PERFORMANCE IN COMPETITION PSYCHOLOGIST

Badminton Australia is seeking a Team Psychologist / Mental Performance in Competition Psychologist to support Olympic and Paralympic pathway athletes toward LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032. The role will lead and deliver high-performance mental skills programs, coach support and athlete wellbeing initiatives.

Para Badminton Classifiers needed

Are you passionate about para-sport and creating fair opportunities for all
athletes? Badminton Australia is seeking Medical and Technical Classifiers.

Para-Badminton Classifiers are trained officials who assess athletes
to determine their sport class according to BWF classification rules.
They are certified by BWF, supported by Badminton Australia and
Paralympics Australia, and work voluntarily at state, national, and
international levels.
