Badminton is one the most accessible sports in the world, it can be played anytime, anywhere by anyone of any ability. In Australia it’s particularly popular during the winter months as the indoor nature makes it a great option for many school children, but it is equally as fun during the warmer months too!
The nature of badminton means that anyone of any ability can play and not contribute to the game. The Shuttlecock (shuttle) is forgiving enough for beginners to take time in hitting it, but it can be equally challenging for experienced players.
In Australia we’ve adopted the Badminton World Federation’s Shuttle Time program as our preferred entry pathway for our junior players. Shuttle Time has been developed so that anyone can take part and that it can be delivered with a simple but sound understanding of the game of badminton.
