Badminton Australia is delighted to announce a number of selections to the Falcons, Para Falcons and Junior Development Falcons Programs.

Following the resumption of events and training camps this year, a number of athletes have been selected to join the already highly talented list of Australian athletes.

Joining the Falcons Squad are Sydney Go (HP Badminton – VIC), Gavin Ong (Glenelg Badminton Club – SA), Lee Yen Khoo (Melbourne University Badminton – VIC), Kai Chen Teoh (An-Yu Badminton Academy – WA), and Rayne Wang (Melbourne University Badminton – VIC).

Meanwhile the Para Falcons welcome three additional selections in Mischa Helene Ginns (Ability Para Badminton Club – VIC), Amonrat Jamporn (NBC – NSW), and Janine Watson (Chandler Badminton Club – QLD).

Finally, seven more athletes have been named to the Junior Development Falcons, bringing a depth of young talent and potential to the program.

These selections include Roshan Joesph Biju (SKM – WA), Victoria Tjonadi (Alpha Badminton– NSW), Mimi Ngo (WA), Om Neelam (Play Badminton – VIC), Faye Huo (NBC – NSW), Dion Binod (MS – QLD), and Ephraim Stephen Sam (Sams Badminton – QLD).

Jamie Parsons, Badminton Australia CEO, congratulated all the selected athletes, taking particular note of the breadth of talent they bring to the established programs.

“I extend my congratulations to all selected athletes and wish them the best in this next chapter of their development,” said Parsons.

“They bring depth, skill, and potential to our already strong squads, and we look forward to seeing their progress in the year to come.”

Ashley Naumann, Badminton Australia Performance Pathways Manager, echoed the sentiments of Parsons, acknowledging the opportunities ahead for all.

“Congratulations to all players who have been selected to the various programs,” said Naumann.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our cohort to grow and we welcome the additions and all that they will bring to the programs.”
