Badminton Oceania has released the dates, prospectus and forms for the 2020 VICTOR Oceania Championships. The event brings together the strongest players across the BWF Oceania confederation to compete against one another for the Oceania Teams Championship and individual honours in the Oceania Individual Championships. In 2019 the cup was taken away by Australia in both the junior and senior age groups, in 2020 only the senior age groups will be held as juniors are run every second year.
The Para Badminton Oceania Individual Championships will run alongside the able-bodied Teams & Individual Championships for the first time. With the Paralympics edging ever closer this event will prove an important milestone in many players tournament plans leading up to the end of the qualification period on the 29th of March 2020.
Additional weight will be added to this year’s Individual and Teams Championships as the tournament will act as a qualifying event for the TOTAL BWF Thomas & Uber Cups to be held in Denmark in May 2020.
