Tang and Lee Shine on Day Two

Jutin Lee and Huaidong Tang were the standout performers for Australia on day two of the Li-Ning Singapore Youth International, with both winning through to the third round of the U15 boy's singles while also teaming together to win their openning round boy's doubles

Tang and Lee were forced to fight extremely hard to win their boy's doubles match against a strong Indonesian opponent. After losing the openning game 19-21, the boys were forced to save several match points in the second game before leveling the match up with 27-25 second game win. The final game was tight the whole way, with Lee and Tang holding their composure well towards the end of the match the win the decider 21-19

Tyzton Tan and Lin Ying Xiang made it two from to for the Australian's in the men's doubles when they proved too strng for their Malaysian opponents. The West Australian secured an early lead in the first game and never looked back. Winning 21-15 21-14.

After a long men's doubles in the morning Justin Lee was again involved in another long game in his singles. He fell behind after dropping the opening game 19-21 but then showed great determination to level the match up 21-18 in the second game. The final game was a very taxing affair, with both players feeling the heat. It looked as though Lee would surrender the match when trailing 17-19, however a run of 4 straight points saw him clinch his second amtch of the day.

Things were not as tough for Tang in his singles, controlling the match from start to finish to take a 21-7 21-13 win and progress to the third round.

It wasn't all joy for the Australian team on day two, with Jazton Tan, Alice Wu and Grace Ngiam all losing tough second round matches.
