There are no Australian players left in the World Junior Championships after the final remaining players Jacqueline Guan and Gronya Somerville were knocked out of the women’s doubles yesterday.

Somerville and Guan fell behind through the middle stages of each game and could never bridge to gap, losing 21-17 21-16 against Birch and Smith of England.

The team will return to Australia with the focus now turning to the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival that will be held in Sydney in January.
