Overview

Badminton Australia is the national sports organisation for badminton in Australia. Badminton Australia, in partnership with its Members, the State/Territory Badminton Associations, is responsible for the management and sustainable development of the sport nationally and the management of relations internationally through the governing body for the sport, the International Badminton Federation (IBF).

Established in 1932, Badminton Australia became the eleventh member of the IBF in 1936. Badminton Australia is an active member of the Oceania Badminton Confederation (OBC) and is affiliated to the Australian Olympic Committee, (AOC),  Australian Commonwealth Games Association (ACGA) and the Confederation of Australian Sport. (CAS).

To provide leadership through the delivery of quality sports services and programs which ensure increasing participation in badminton and international success for Australian players.

Funding Partners

Badminton Australia and the programs it runs are to a large extent funded by three key organisations. Funded programs include High Performance, Junior Development and Sports Development.

Badminton Australia would like to acknowledge the Australian Sports Commission, The Australian Commonwealth Games Association and the Australian Olympic Committee for their continued support of badminton in Australia.
