This is Australia's newest national event with the first tournament being hosted in 2005. The format is similar to the other national tournaments with a team’s competition followed by an individual Under 15 championships. Under 15 Teams from Oceania and BWF Member countries are able to be invited to this national tournament and in 2005, 2006 and 2007 a team from Singapore entered the competition.

Ede Clendinnen Shield and Australian Closed Championships

Senior Nationals, incorporating, The Ede Clendennin Shield and Australian Closed Championships is Australia's senior national teams event. Like the other national events it consists of a teams event with each State/Territory entering their strongest teams. This is followed by an individual event – the Australian Closed Championships. This carnival is hosted in August/early September each year, with a maximum of eight teams entering.

2013 Yonex Australian Grand Prix Gold

The Under 17 Australasian Championships is the largest age group tournament on the BA junior calendar. In 2005, 17 State/Territory and regional teams competed for the coveted June Bevan Trophy – the team’s component of the competition. The format is a team’s competition followed by an individual championship. Under 17 teams from Oceania and BWF member countries are invited to this Australasian Championships and in 2005, apart from the regular participation by three New Zealand regional teams, a combined Oceania team entered for the first time with players from Samoa and Fiji.

2013 Li-Ning Victorian International

The Under 19 National competition is one of the oldest national events on the Badminton Australian national calendar of events. Established in the 1960’s the competition provides valuable national tournament experience for Australia’s top under 19 badminton players.
