The Badminton Australia Court Officials Committee (ABCOC) is responsible for the development and management of court officials nationally. ABCOC. in conjunction with State/Territories Court Officials Committees ensures there are qualified umpires, referees and line judges to officiate at local, State, National and International tournaments.

Badminton Australia has a three level official’s accreditation pathway. All of the courses are nationally recognized and accredited by the Australian Sports Commission through the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme.

Badminton Australia-National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) Official’s Accreditation lasts for a 4-year period.

Officials that have remained active and have met the updating requirements specific to their accreditation level over this period may apply to the Australian Badminton Court Officials Committee (ABCOC) for the renewal of their nationally recognized accreditation.
